An appropriate first post because…0

I just received a new review for Cave Creek Cowboys, my first CCC book. And the first story I submitted to Amber Quill for their 2005 Heat Wave Contest.  Here’s the latest review from JERR:

Holly Tanner is coming home to Cave Creek.  She left home and her first love, Ridge White, ten years ago.  Holly only wants a chance to make it up to Ridge again; she has always loved him and her leaving was to protect him, even if he didn’t know it.

Ridge has no intention of letting his first love, Holly back into his life.  He loved her and she betrayed him with his best friend, then left to make her way in the world of modeling.  Cave Creek is no place for a city woman, even if she was once a cowgirl.

Holly decides to make Ridge an offer he can’t refuse, a no-strings, just sex affair.  She knows Ridge still wants her and maybe they’ll be able to get over their past and start again.  Holly knows she’ll have to tell Ridge the truth about how and why she left.  It will be the biggest challenge this cowgirl has ever faced.  Will Ridge forgive her for cheating them of ten years?

Ridge can’t believe the offer Holly is making; a no strings attached sex only affair with his first love?  Maybe now he will be able to get her out of his system.   But being with Holly makes him realize how much he still loves her.  Can he forget and get past her betrayal?  Ridge knows Holly is hiding a secret and when he finds out exactly what she’s been hiding, he will need all his love and strength to get both of them through her ordeal.

Cave Creek Cowboy by Brit Blaise is a touching and emotional love story. I hope you have a hanky nearby when reading this very moving story. Holly has strength of character that is not always in her best interest.  Ridge has to let go of his hurt and anger over Holly’s actions ten years in the past, before he can give his heart again.  The attraction between these two is hot and steamy.  They connect physically and then emotionally.  This is the first book in the Cave Creek Series.  I will definitely read the others!

What a wonderful review!  Thank you so very much to Delia.  And thanks for a nice way to start my blog…
